Outdoor Clinics

There are four types of clinics offered during the fall and spring seasons.

The Open clinics are offered twice per week during the season at the club’s practice field. These clinics are geared toward improving the individual skills of a field player with a greater understanding of how it impacts his/her progress, as well as the progress of a team.

These clinics are available to any member of the club. Some of the key areas of focus include: passing, dribbling, shooting, and receiving. Players, coaches and parents have all seen the improvement as a result of attending these clinics.

The Team clinics are offered twice per season to all of the club teams and are offered at the team’s practice site. These clinics are geared towards improving team support and strategy. Areas of focus include: ball possession, transition play, using the width and depth of field, and set plays. The Ann Arbor United coaching staff will work closely with the team officials to accomplish their desired goals. Players and coaches both enjoy the opportunity to learn new ideas from these sessions.

The Speed and Agility clinics are offered once per season to all teams. These are typically offered during the preseason or first couple weeks of the regular season. The goal is to help players prepare for the change in direction and change of pace during the game.

The Goalkeeper clinics are offered twice per week to all club members and are conducted at the club's practice site. The players will learn the basic techniques of the position, as well as the implications of their role in supporting the team during the game.

There are no additional fees for these clinics.

Indoor Clinics

Instructional sessions are offered once a week during the winter for one hour and are available to boys and girls from 9 to 13 years old. These sessions are generally 10 weeks long and begin in January. Instructors work on topics such as: receiving, passing, shooting, dribbling, attacking, defending and goalkeeping.

Players outside of the club are welcome to join. Checks should be made payable to ‘Ann Arbor United Soccer Club’ and mailed to: 7184 Fielding St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197.

Fees for the current club players are subsidized through their regular season registration.
